Movie Review- Black Devil Doll!!!

It’s been a while, but I’m back with a VENGEANCE on this review! BLACK DEVIL DOLL!!!!

The rating scale (HORROR Movie):
1-Boll – Still the worst possible rank… Free would be too much to pay. ‘Shit’ would be a compliment above this rank. (Uwe Boll: Alone in the Dark, Bloodrayne)
2- Band – Kinda ‘meh’ but will do in a pinch. Might have some shining moments…(Charles Band: Puppet Master, the Gingerdead Man)
3-Cunningham – Decent, a worthy film to watch. (Sean S Cunninham: Friday the 13th (1980), Deep Star Six)
4- Hooper – Good, the kind of film that will stick in your mind… (Tobe Hooper: Poltergeist, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974), Salem’s Lot)
5- Craven- Great film, with a lot going for it. The kind of thing you’d watch over and over again. (Wes Craven: The Hills Have Eyes (1977), A Nightmare on Elm Street, Scream)
6- Carpenter- Amazing, the kind of film you will get friends to watch because it’s so damn good. (John Carpenter: The Thing, Halloween (1978), The Fog, Christine, Escape from New York, They Live, Prince of Darkness…etc)

Now, I know I’m gonna catch some shit about whether or not this is a horror movie or a comedy, or an exploitation film, or whatever… allow me to open with this: Fuck you if you can’t decide…this is MY Motherfuckin’ Review! Black Devil Doll is without a doubt one of the most bizarre gory/funny/exploitative film I’ve EVER seen and THAT is saying something. Five beautiful young women… one evil, murderous puppet.

Heather thought that an Ouija board was nothing but an innocent child’s game. Little did she know, this child’s game would open a flaming door to hell and re-animate the soul of a recently executed black militant serial killer! With his spirit now trapped in the body of a trash-talking ventriloquist doll, Heather and her friends must fight off the unrelenting horrors and unspeakable deviant advances of a three foot killer with a taste for young flesh and warm blood. Can they stop the BLACK DEVIL DOLL?

Now, my own thoughts… I was lucky enough to see this on the big screen, with a like minded audience. We had seen the trailer so we thought we knew what we were in for. Let me tell you this, there wasn’t any period of more than 10 minutes where my mind screamed WHAT!?!?!? or NO FUCKING WAY!!!! during this movie. It’s crass, gory, and without social commentary (or IS it?) it will offend pretty much anyone, and I FUCKING LOVED IT!!!
Normally I wouldn’t ‘hawk’ anyone’s site or push anyone to buy something, I’d just give you the site and let you decide on your own, but this time I’m pushing. Get off your ass and see it or better yet go to their online store and BUY it… Fuck it, buy 2 and give it to your best friend or worst enemy…or both. Get a tee shirt or 3 and a few ‘Toss Dat Salad’ stickers to decorate your house, car, or church… (well…maybe that one is a bit far…. maybe)

They say they are going to use the money made to make another one (They promise not to spend all the profits on malt liquor and illegal narcotics…) and I’d like to see that one too.

The DVD is up on pre-order right now, with shipping to commence sometime around October. I am telling you that although I normally rate according to the above ‘rating scale’ this movie demands its own classification, so I’m rating it 1 big, black fist …right up your ass, Motherfucker!!!
