By god…it’s beautiful….

I stumbled over this article on ‘Arming Yourself for the Zombie Apocalypse: How to Build the Ultimate Survival Shotgun’ Yes, you read that right. how to BUILD it.
I don’t normally get a hard on for guns, as we all know they attract more zombies than they stop… but DAMN! Rather than me regurgitating the article, just go check it out HERE and let me say: that is a damn fine firearm for the Zompocalypse sir… well played.

The Woman

SYNOPSIS: Family man and lawyer Christoper Cleek (Sean Bridgers) must do what he can to protect his family when he comes into contact with a feral woman (Pollyana McIntosh) living in the woods near his isolated country home. Through a series of harrowing encounters Cleek and his family quickly discover there is more to this woman than anyone would suspect and that sometimes the devil wears a handsome face.

Anyone see this? Women can be scarey but psycho families… *shudder* It says volumes that there was a ‘freak out’ at Sundance… see for yourself:

and the follow up… wow…

So, apparently this is the guy who decides what ‘art’ is… pffft.
So this guy just makes me WANT to see the movie. Check out the OFFICIAL SITE HERE

The Divide

The Divide shows a release date of Jan 13th… but looking at the OFFICIAL SITE it seems to be in select theaters only… so keep an eye out for this because Michael mother-fucking Biehn is ‘all up ons’ in this bad ass looking sci-fi thriller. I gotta say that post apocalyptic movies just might be making a comeback… so, where the hell is my ‘Damnation Alley 2: electric boogaloo’ movie?!?!? Maybe I’ll film that one…

***UPDATE- for those of you in my hometown (Ottawa, Ontario, Canada) this is PLAYING this February 3rd and 4th at the Mayfair Theatre of course! That’s a damn fine ‘select theatre’!

It Came From the Kitchen
Monstrously Delicious Celebrity Recipes From Dracula, Frankenstein, The Wolf Man, Assorted Aliens and Beyond!
By Geoff Isaac & Gordon Reid

Greetings Shamblers! The Zombie Queen here again with a book that brings together two of my favourite things – cooking and movies!
It Came From the Kitchen is collection of recipes and recollections of industry faves (writers, actors, directors, special affects) from Sci-fi, Cult and Horror films. Filled with stories and food from the stars, filmography and fun facts this cookbook is a devilishly delicious read.
Highlights for me were the introduction by Ingrid Pitt , P.J. Soles Banana Pancakes, Vincent Price’s Risotto and Ray Bradbury’s Peach Kuchen. I spent several hours poring through it and have even made a few of the fantastic recipes. Even if you don’t cook, this book is worth buying…AND it will teach you to cook, so… you know, win-win. You can tell that the authors Geoff Isaac and Gordon Reid are real fans of the genre and did a lot of research for this fun book. Hope to see a sequel! (Zombieking interrupts- ‘Anything that keeps her feeding me is a-ok in my book… and it also keeps me from eating cheerleaders and girl guides!’)
